Carboneras
Carboneras is the darkest shade in the Tierra collection. The inspiration for this shade can be found on the shores of the Mediterranean, on one of the most famous and unique beaches in Andalusia: Playa de los Muertos, in Carboneras (Almería). Despite its turquoise, crystal-clear waters, the large rocks and cliffs that border this wild beach have a characteristic dark, almost black color, a result of their volcanic origin. Although there are no volcanoes nearby, it’s not uncommon to find such minerals and rocks in the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park area. Our ‘Carboneras’ shade of high-temperature fired clay is rich in warm, coppery, and brownish tones, and is one of the most distinctive shades in the entire collection. It is the perfect choice for creating high-contrast spaces, and conveying the majesty of a place as special as Carboneras.
