Maro
The famous Maro beach in Nerja (Malaga) is renowned for its peaceful, relaxed vibes, and the preservation of its natural resources. But spectacular sunrises and crystal-clear waters are not the only treasures this beach has to offer: just a few meters from the access ramp is the entrance to the Nerja Cave, a geological wonder that has inspired our ‘Maro’ shade.
In the Tierra collection, we wanted to pay tribute to this geological treasure with a shade of clay fired at high temperatures. ‘Maro’ is inspired by the orange and coppery hues found in the stalactites and stalagmites that populate the interior of this cavernous formation, which covers an area of more than 35,000 square meters and was declared a Site of Cultural Interest twenty years ago. This shade reflects all the richness of the cave’s nuances, thanks to the variations in tone resulting from the artisanal clay firing process, without losing the soft and silky feel that characterizes all our fired clay pieces.
