Trivas Restaurant: a window to the Mediterranean in Stockholm
The beautiful goal of this restaurant in Stockholm is to bring a piece of the Mediterranean to the Swedish capital. Let's take a look at this unique project.
A relaxed environment, cozy, warm toned, sophisticated and focused on the gastronomical enjoyment. It could be the description of virtually any hospitality establishment of Mediterranean countries, but that is not the location of this project. On the contrary: we find ourselves in a well looked after neighborhood in Stockholm. That is the home of the restaurant Trivas, a Mediterranean window right in the heart of Sweden.
Trivas: a cozy restaurant with Southern vibes
Eat, socialize, enjoy is the motto of this project, and is one we couldn’t agree with more. Trivas offers a wonderful gastronomical experience in an enviroment that is as sophisticated as relaxed, and constitutes the perfect companion to the Spanish cuisine flavours they have on the menu.
On the menu one finds fantastic combinations of tapas and dishes that take Spanish cooking to what they refer to as the Trivas style. That intention, of course, goes all the way to the wine selection, where reds and whites from La Rioja and Galicia accompany the main proposal.
Food brings Spanish falvours to the heart of Stockholm in the form of tapas and plates that are accompanied by the best wine
On their Instagram they give proof of their exceptional menu. We are sure that many parts of it will sound familiar if you are reading from Spain!
Handmade terracotta to evoke the Mediterranean
When it comes to bring a taste of the Mediterranean lifestyle to a Nordic country like Sweden, handmade terracotta is a safe bet. In this case, the product we used is the Rombo ISO 10, our smallest rhomboidal tile, which is perfect for making customized mosaics.
For this project three different colors were used: slate, antique white and rust red, mainly to decorate two big walls on the inside of the restaurant, generating a striking visual effect that contributes to the welcoming atmosphere of the space. You can see more on the restaurant’s website, where they explain their different menus and the philosophies behind them, among many pictures of this magnificent location.
We proudly recommend you to visit if you’re ever in Stockholm!
