CE marking for handmade terracotta

The CE marking is mandatory for certain products manufactured and marketed within the European Union. It is only mandatory on products covered by harmonized EU standards that specifically require it, such as toys, drones, electrical and electronic devices, pyrotechnic products, boats, certain types of pressure equipment, gas appliances, batteries and machinery, weighing and measuring equipment, personal protective equipment, and medical devices.

The regulations that apply to and define the CE marking in our field are restricted to “ceramic tiles manufactured by extrusion and dry pressing,” so our products, which are completely handmade, are not subject to these regulations.

Even so, at todobarro we always provide the technical data sheets and descriptions necessary to prove the quality and performance of our material, as well as a binding declaration of performance that technically sets out the results of the various tests carried out on our products, which you can request by contacting our team.
