Tips on how to clean terracotta floors
In our blog, you’ll find a number of articles with tips on how to clean terracotta floors, keep your pavement healthy, and face saltpeters. mildew and humidity and many other matters that affect this type of floor.
Terracotta floors are the most perdurable floors, but this doesn’t mean that, over time and through exposure to the open elements, they don’t develop stains, humidity or fungus.
This is why we consider that, besides manufacturing, installation and cleaning the floors our clients acquire from us, it is also our duty to divulge at least the basic knowledge necessary to properly take care of our tiles and azulejos.
At todobarro we offer an integral service to our clients
Whether these are individuals, companies or architectural firms, when we design and make a terracotta wall or floor for a client (our production is 100% by demand!), we offer them our integral service of transport, installation, cleaning and maintenance.
Fired clay is an amazing material, but it needs to be cared for. Taking into account factors such as the location of the pavement or the kind of wall is detrimental to efficiently determine what kind of treatment will be needed after installation.
A floor installed outdoors in south Spain won’t have the same needs as a bathroom wall in northern England. And, even though it is not mandatory at all to use every service we offer, it is important that each step of the process is conducted with expertise and good judgement.
Beyond cleaning
Besides good advice on how to clean your terracotta floors, on this category of our blog you’ll find other useful information to make the most out of your pavement. The resistance, thermal and insulating properties of our terracotta tiles go way beyond the aesthetic value they have.
Thanks to the qualities of fired clay, we can save thermal energy, fight humidity, save money in the long run, and, of course, create unique, beautiful spaces.
