Art and creativity at Fiesta and Design, a design event in Dubai
We attended the event held at Jaleo, chef José Andrés' restaurant, alongside leading design professionals and brands
Attending events that focus on art and design is a wonderful opportunity to share new ideas. But it is also a chance to enrich our own ideas and fuel our inspiration, because when it comes to design, creativity is in constant simmer. This is exactly what happened to us this summer when we attended the Fiesta and Design event, organized by Love That Design in Dubai.
Our colleague Pedro attended the event as part of a visit to several potential clients and contacts in the Arabian Peninsula. There, we participated in the meeting organized by ICEX for Spanish companies in the design and architecture sector.
As if that weren’t enough, the event took place at Jaleo, the restaurant owned by the famous José Andrés in Dubai. There we had the opportunity to enjoy another great art, that of gastronomy, tasting the wonders of one of the most outstanding Spanish chefs on the culinary scene. The experience at Jaleo was shared with many other professionals from the design sector, representatives of leading national and international studios based in the UAE.
This is how the space became an ideal environment for sharing impressions with leading professionals in design and architecture. We enjoyed an evening with major brands such as esPattio, iSiMAR, LZF Lamps, Viccarbe, Porcelanosa, GANDIA BLASCO GROUP, Equipo DRT, Punt mobles, and BOVER Barcelona.
Spanish design in Dubai
Spanish design has made its mark in the United Arab Emirates, where the work of so many studios and the quality and originality of their proposals are recognized. At the same time, Spanish cuisine has also gained followers thanks to restaurants such as the one that hosted this event and its chef, José Andrés.
To generate conversation and relationships among the UAE design community, ICEX Interiors of Spain created Fiesta and Design. It is a formula that combines culinary challenges and Spanish creative efforts. The entity partnered with Love That Design to launch its idea.
We would like to thank ICEX for inviting us, Love That Design for organizing this unique event, and Jaleo by José Andrés Group for hosting us.
