Glazed ceramic tiles
Another expression of craftsmanship
The word “azulejo” finds its origins in the hispanic arab “azzuláyǧ[a]”, which means “glazed clay”. Our artisanal glazed ceramic azulejo tiles rescue the best clay tradition developed by hispanic-arab craftsmen from al-Ándalus, whose quality transcended borders back in their best days.
Just like it happens with our terracotta tiles, our azulejos also present irregularities and imperfections as a distinctive feature. Each piece is unique and irrepetible, with colour hues, surfaces and worn edges just as if they’d been smoothed by time.
The Antique texture is also present in our glazed ceramic azulejo tiles, although, unlike the standard tiles, they are submitted to a glazing process that gives them glow and suaviness.
